Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It’s designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better and close the gap between them and their peers.
The DfE require us to produce a Pupil Premium Strategy for the academic year. This strategy is part of the School Improvement Plan that is formulated in September and identifies our priorities for the coming year. The School Improvement Plan makes sure that we think and plan carefully for the academic year, and it secures a cycle of continuous improvement. We have formulated our strategy for this year based on our evaluation of 2019-2020, which can be found below. This is written by the leadership team and monitored throughout the year by staff and governors.
Pupil Premium spending will be reviewed as part of budget setting in April and the new financial year, but we do make amendments mid-year, as our funding is adjusted dependent on the school census information.
